Pre-Conference Workshops Registration

Register for the Pre-Conference Workshops on the Care and Conservation of Paper-Based Collections below. Workshop A is intended as an introduction for those completely new to the topic, while Workshop B will present intermediate-advanced topics. Participants can register for Workshop A, Workshop B, or both, depending on their experience.

The Pre-Conference Workshops are open to all interested participants and are not limited to registered conference attendees.

When: May 6, 2026, Workshop A: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Workshop B: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm 

Where: Room 105, John M. Kelly Library, University of St. Michael’s College 113 St. Joseph Street, Toronto, ON 

Cost [per workshop]: $100 (AAO members); $70 (AAO student members) ;$140 (non-members)

Events Registration

Register below for the various Conference events. These events include tours, a lunch for Student and New Professionals, the Awards Lunch, and pre-registration for Conference sessions with capacity limitations. Some events require additional fees. Review the Program at-a-Glance above to learn more about the events being offered.

Please note that some conference events are scheduled to take place concurrently. We kindly ask that you select only one event for any overlapping sessions.

All conference events are exclusively available to registered conference attendees only. Individuals who register for events but have not completed full conference registration and payment will have their event registrations cancelled and any associated fees refunded.

Safe Spaces Registration

Register below for the various Safe Spaces sessions presented by the AAO's Professional Development CommitteeThese sessions are safe spaces set aside and reserved for archives workers and records managers from historically excluded groups in our profession to connect with one another in an informal, participant-driven environment. Participants will also have the opportunity to share feedback on the sessions and help shape their future format. 

The Safe Spaces sessions are not limited to registered conference attendees. These sessions are free and open to students, emerging, and established professionals, as well as those working in volunteer and activist roles who self-identify as belonging to the communities indicated in the session descriptions found on the registration pages.

The meetings are governed by the AAO’s Code of Conduct as well as a guideline of confidentiality. It is essential that all participants agree to keep confidential the identities of individual participants and any names that may be mentioned during their time together, as well as any attributed specific comments. Agreement about this point is required. Please contact professionaldevelopment@aao-archivists.ca with your questions and any requests for accommodation.
