Indigenous Resources Page

09 Mar 2017 4:03 PM | Deleted user

The Archives Association of Ontario (AAO) is pleased to share the second of two pages aimed at supporting the Truth and Reconciliation process.  The first page, Toward Truth and Reconciliation, was launched in December and included resources aimed at assisting Ontario’s archival community to navigate the path toward the decolonisation and Indigenization of our practice.

The second page, Indigenous Resources, is aimed at improving access to Indigenous focused archival holdings. The page contains a list of online exhibits and links to archival descriptions and material that relate to Indigenous communities from institutions across Ontario. It also contains a list of general resources including First Nations map, a map of Treaty areas in Ontario, and links to guides related to Indigenous archives.

Anyone can contribute to the page.  If you have resources you would like to share, or comments or suggestions about the page, please direct them to the AAO's Web Administrator.

Kind regards,

Amanda Tomé
