The Toronto Area Archivists’ Group (TAAG) is pleased to announce an upcoming workshop: Introduction to Omeka.

Back by popular demand! Learn how to display collections, build exhibitions, gather stories, and map photographs online using the free, web-hosted platform, Omeka.net. Leslie Barnes from the University of Toronto Libraries Information Technology Services will provide an introduction to this platform and its basic functions including effective exhibit design. No technical skills, previous experience or special server requirements are necessary. All you need is a free Omeka account, which will be created during the class. This is a great resource for small archives or archives who are looking to start building an online presence.

No computer necessary.

Please know that lunch nor refreshments will be provided, but there are several affordable options in the are.
