Getting to Toronto

Air - Conference attendees have the choice of two Toronto area airports:

Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) (1) - Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport allows travellers to arrive in the heart of Toronto. Air Canada and Porter Airlines fly from various parts of Canada and the United States into Billy Bishop. It's easy to get to and from the airport, including a complimentary shuttle bus and easy access to public transit.

Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) (3) - Canada's busiest airport, Pearson International Airport offers flights around the world. There are several options available to get from Pearson to downtown Toronto. The TTC offers public transit to and from Pearson Airport. Attendees may also use the UP Express from Pearson to Union station (4). 

Porter Airlines is proud to offer a 10% discount code on available fares, (with the exception of the lowest class fare during a seat sale), for travel to and from the AAO Conference in Toronto. The discounted fares are available for booking between February 13, 2017 and May 1, 2017 and are available for travel:

Train 

Via Rail Canada - The AAO is proud to identify Via Rail Canada as its ground transportation partner. If you are travelling through stations on the Via Rail network to Toronto and return you may use the discount code 13456. The discount code provides 10% off the best available fare in Economy, Economy Plus, Business Business Plus and Sleeper Class. The discount does not apply to Escape Fares and Prestige Class. The discount code may be used for a maximum of two passengers per booking and includes one complimentary stopover at no additional charge. Only valid for travel between April 24, 2017 to April 30, 2017. Via Rail trains arrive at Union Station (4).

Those using the discount code will be prompted to log in or create a profile. On the passenger information screen, select "Convention fare" from the Discount Type drop-down menu and enter the discount code in the appropriate field. The conference fare will be shown on the next page.

Go Transit -  Go Transit offers train service throughout Ontario. Check out their website for fares and train schedules. Majority of the trains end at Union Station (4).

Bus - There are several bus options available to get into the city: 

Travelling in Toronto

TTC - The TTC offers subway, bus and streetcar travel across Toronto.

Subway: The closest subway station to the conference location is St. George Station accessible via Line 1 (Yonge-University) and Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth).

Fare: A single trip will cost $3.25 on the TTC. Tokens are $3.00 a trip and can be purchased at subway stations or authorized vendors. A minimum of 3 must be purchases when bought at a collectors booth. Visit the TTC Fare & Passes page for more information.

Parking - For those travelling by car, Green P Parking is available throughout the city. Mobile pay is available for Android and Apple devises.
